1955 STUDEBAKER CHAMPION
COUPE - SOLD
This is one "Rude Stude" and maybe a little crude but this "Mean
Green Machine" goes like a bat out of "@&%$" and is so much
fun. The 1973 440 cubic inch Chrysler New Yorker engine has
been set back and uses 413 Mopar exhaust manifolds, a Mopar aluminum
factory performance intake with a new Edelbrock carburetor. The
transmission is a 727 Torque Flight and the rear end is a 9" Ford
with 2.87 gears. (Had 413 gears but
replaced them because it was tooooooooo wild).
It is a fun car that gets tons of attention whether on the
street or attending a rod run. It
has no frills such as heat, air conditioning, radio or wipers (needs
wiper motor). All the gauges work properly including gas gauge, all
lights work properly including signals and 4 way flashers. The
steering sector is from a 1966 Ford Mustang, all brakes are new
including master cylinder, wheel cylinders and brake lines.
This car is a Cruiser and Daily Driver, expect to have tons of fun
at Rod Runs, Cruises and Sunday Drives. It is not a show car and was
not intended to be but if you don't have fun with this car you are
not an "All American Red Blooded Hot Rodder".
