1940 CHEVROLET CABRIOLET CUSTOM
STREET ROD - $34,900.
This
1940 Chevrolet started life as a 2 door sedan and was completely
built from the ground up starting with the frame. Mustang II front
suspension was installed, the frame was strengthened and a 9" Ford
rear end was installed. The car is powered by a chromed out 350
cubic inch Chevrolet engine and a 700R4 overdrive automatic
transmission.
The
body was completely redone removing any sign of damage and
strengthened so that the top could be removed. A removable custom
built Carson style top was constructed with a 3" chop and then
covered in a very nice blue convertible quality cloth material. The
headlights, taillights and license plate have been frenched and a
third brake light installed. All of this was done prior to painting
the car in a nearly perfect PPG Vanilla Shake eye catching color,
this color really pops with the blue removable top. The exterior
also has some tastefully done pinstriping along with a very nice
mural on the lower trunk corner depicting a 50's Car Hop on roller
skates delivering a vanilla shake malt. The
car also has blue neon underbody lighting that really makes this car
stand out in the evening.
The
interior is very nicely done in blue tweed covering the front bucket
seats, rear seat and sculptured door panels. The door windows are
both electric, the windshield is v-butted, the dash is all Dakota
Digital, it has a CB radio and a AM/FM/Cassette player installed
along with a power antenna. The wheels are Weld Rod Lite and the
tires are 15" radial all in excellent condition.
This car is ready to show at any indoor arena with pride, can be
driven anywhere with confidence and would be welcome at any outdoor
rod run or drive in show. Fly in and drive it home today, we will
pick you up at the airport. If you should choose to have it shipped
we will help you with the arrangements.

1951
FORD 50'S CUSTOM - $6,500.
This is an Old Kustom that
was probably customized in the 50's, all of the
modifications reflect that time period. It is not something
that has been recently built although it was recently driven
170 miles from Fargo to Devils Lake with no problems. It has
been nosed & decked, door handles have been shaved and the
headlights and tail lights have been frenched. It has 1949
Plymouth ripple bumpers, dummy spot lights, fender skirts,
1954 Chevy grill with extra teeth and a 1949 Chevy license
plate guard. The original side trim has been removed and
1956 Ford Victoria side trim has been installed. The engine
codes indicate that it is a 1953 Mercury flathead with
headers and dual glass packs and chrome tips that give it
that good old flattie sound. The transmission is a three
speed straight stick with overdrive, although the overdrive
is no connected.
The custom interior has
white pleated vinyl, seats, door panels, firewall, and
package tray that show age. The dash is purple and has the
old time teardrop knobs, the carpet is black and the
headliner is white perforated vinyl also showing age.
The tires are older
bias ply weathered wide whitewalls with moon discs on the
front, the car is lowered about 4" on the back using
lowering blocks and the front has cut coils.
It has been converted
to 12 volt and has a new alternator & battery. All the
lights have been changed but none of the instruments are
working. Brakes are good except that the right front likes
to grab when cold, after a few uses they work fine. The
clutch, motor and transmission work fine with no strange
noises. The steering is loose, it is hard starting when
cold, there is cracked glass and there is rust in the body.

1963 BUICK RIVIERA
RADICAL CUSTOM - SOLD
This is a one of a kind
magazine feature car. It was
first featured in the 1963 winter
issue of Popular Custom Magazines and was photographed by George Barris
for that magazine. The body has
been radically restyled which is difficult to describe but I have tried
to show all details in the pictures. It was once known as the XP600 and
was considered for a prototype of future Riviera’s. It was rebuilt in
1985 and again in 1994 and features the following: New custom tweed
interior with a sculptured headliner, dash, door panels and trunk. It
has power windows, power brakes, power steering, tilt column, air
conditioning (not working),
AM/FM Cassette radio with a 6
disc CD player. The engine compartment is nicely detailed with paint and
chrome on a nail head Buick motor and it has an automatic transmission
with the shifter in the console. Please contact me with any questions.
