1940 CHEVROLET TOW TRUCK - $5,995.
Now here is a fun driver that would be ideal as an advertising tool for any type of automotive business. It is very unique and draws attention where ever parked and the nice thing is you could drive it anywhere so it would make a great parts chaser.
It is licensed and titled as a 1940 Chevrolet pickup, the cab is 1940 but the front is 1935. The great part is the complete drivetrain which is all 1996 S-10 Chevrolet that includes cruise control, power steering, power brakes, am/fm radio and a good heater.  The engine is a V6 that gets 25 mpg. The tires are new, the windshield is new and all other glass is good. This truck runs and drives great and is ready to go down the highway.
Other neat things, daytime running lights, working flasher on the cab, luggage box, dual exhaust stacks, hand crank thru the grill, working cowl vent, working crank out front windshield and very nice gray interior. The truck was not built to actually tow and it would be unsafe to actually use as a tow truck. The truck was sanded to bare metal, a quality primer was used and a fresh paint was put on in April of 2006. The lettering is decal and easily removed so you can personalize the truck to your liking.
The engine compartment is tight and some of the components such as the computer and anti-lock braking system are mounted on the firewall. Everything mechanical and electrical works properly. You could drive this truck anywhere, it was recently driven 1,200 miles with no problems it is fun to cruise but does have a few squeaks and rattles
This was an original tow truck, it had a rust free and very straight cab, the floors are basically S-10. The fenders are home made and are far from perfect. They do have dings and dents but that was the look the builder wanted. FLY IN AND DRIVE IT HOME TODAY.
