1955 FORD T-BIRD PROTOTYPE - SOLD
This car is a professionally built one of a kind Proto Type from
Action Sports Ltd.
It started with a '55 T-Bird fiberglass body which was
substantially reinforced with
hardwood & steel in all critical areas and doors. It has a
custom molded-in front air
dam, grill shell, side ground effects and molded in Z-28 fender
louvers. It is built as
an open roadster with a custom fabricated roll bar of chrome
molley steel and a
custom fabricated 2"x 4" steel
tube frame with X support. The body features original
T-Bird lamps, custom fabricated rear nerf bars made from
polished stainless steel,
twin sport mirrors and a custom lexan windshield. The interior
includes A-M Specialty
bucket seats, all new upholstery and carpet, imported mahogany
wood dash trim and door trim, full gauges and tach and an am/fm stereo sound
system. the trunk is fullyupholstered and includes a finish panel on the inside of the
trunk lid. The car rides
on stock wheels with original '57 Ford hubcaps and rings with
new 205R75-14" tires.
Mechanical features are as follows: Custom built fuel tank,
Mustang rear end,
Mustang ll front suspension with mustang rack and pinion
steering, front disc brakes,
rear drum brakes with a dual master cylinder, custom 4 core
radiator, 351 Ford
Cleveland motor (40,000 miles on rebuild), 2 barrel carb, with a
rebuilt C-6 automatic transmission, chrome engine accessories,
performance headers, glass pack performance mufflers, custom side exit exhaust and stock Ford wiring
harness.
The car currently has 2336.0 miles and a 1/4/00 appraisal of
$29,225.00. The
appraiser shows the car to be an 8.5 average on a 1 - 10 scale.
The car is presently
located in Holland Mich. and is ready for a summer of fun!!!!!!
